NEW Ae 3/6I
Today, the 28th of june 2025, the BNS received a new Roco locomotive from Modellbahn Union from Germany. The lok is equipped with sound and is ready for service after a running in period of more than 1 hour. The loco runs more smooth now, but experience tells me that after 10 hours most locos start to run as they should.
All the BLS 465 are from around the 2005 when most of the 25x, 27x and the 18x/19x series were in service, also the 205 was to be seen at Thun and Leissigen.
In 206 at Spiez.
Below the 465 018 and the 465 013, 11 may 2006 at Speiz (8:36)
The BNS has 7 locomotive from the BLS 465 series from Roco, three of them are from Switzerland as special models.
See the photo series with all the loco's, pictures are made at Beaver Junction.
On this picture you see one of the wheelsets from a Roco Silberling. Good to see is how the wheels are touching the rails and some wear.
On the Roco ICN we have two wheelsets were the axel is molten. I think is has to do with dirt or moisture in the axel itself. Only two axels have this problem. New axels are ordered from Roco and ready to replace the faulty ones.
Due to the move, baack home, the outdoor track in Thailand is remove and will return in November this year. The table-tops will be made from wood and perhaps some concrete sections.
Here a picture from the removal.
The BNS will continue testing outdoor railroading in H0 in 2024/2025. The time in which the BNS is set is from 1990 to 2006. Mainly based on the Swiss example. This is the time when many holidays were spent in Switzerland and this atmosphere is incorporated into a trackplan. The trackplan will consist of an outdoor and an indoor section. The outdoor section will be temporarily built with train tables over the next two years and later permanently made of stone/concreet.
For a few days their has been rain showers, no driving. All the trains are still parked outside. Today (8-mar-2025) was dry and a day that I had time to work on the railroad. After cleaning the track all worked without any problems, even with a Humidity of 67%.
For a few days now the BLS Bt-952 has been running in a 2-set pulled by an Ae 4/4. This is not a Piko or ESU model but a EMB model, handmade with laser cut windows!
Today the this morning was very wet form the morning dew.
Due to this the trains started running at 10:30 today.
Tracked needed more time this moring to dry.
Today the Roco BLS185, the newst BLS loco we have here (4 years old) but hardly used in NL has done its first revenue service.
Today it ran for 2:55 Hours (most 3 hours) without any problems.
The first locomotive maintance found place today, the SBB 10807 had her 20 hour maintenance. No defects where found, cleaning and lubricating was sufficient to get her on track.
Currently the two trains are pulled with the SBB 10801 (intercity) and the SBB 10812 (local). See picture of the 10812 to get an idea what a SBB Ae 4/6 is.
