In the old days there where 2 more pages for other reailroads namely the VBS and the NH. Sadly they did not update this site and they are now removed from the site.
Left on the site is now the BNS the former LLS, founded on 31 January 1970.
It was on a Saturday (31 janaury 1970) when my dad bought me my first startset from Fleischmann. It was a steam-locomotive with tender (C wheel arrangement or 0-3-0 in USA) and 2 freight cars, a oil and a closed car. See the picture from the 1970 catalog.
This steamer is still alive but not operational,maybe it will be fixed for the 60 years anniversary.
The second locomotive was a diesel a DB V60, this one is still alive and runs on analog power. Below a picture (2020) of a dusty V60 from around 1972-74, exact date I have to look for, next to a ESU V60 (sold 2 years ago).
After 55 years the BNS (LLS) is going stronger than ever with two railroad operations one in the Netherlands and one in Thailand.
The BNS is looking for a great anniversary year this time with better luck than the 50 years, back then with the broken V60 anniversary loco from ESU (see the 2020 pages)
The last 5 year you can find already on this site, the rest of the BNS long history with it's up and down's is foreseen in the future on this site.
The BNS has started with German and the LLS imaginary railroad followed by Dutch then Swiss (more than 20 years) followed by an American theme. During COVID it was German, later followed by American and currently is it all the above but not a the same time. It is enjoying the trains running!
